The Muskingum County Community Foundation and Scholarship Central is announcing applications for the Marc Cooper Scholarship.

The $500 dollar scholarship is awarded to first-year students attending Muskingum University, Ohio University Zanesville or Zane State College.

Consideration will be given based upon academics and financial need along with recommendations from a teacher or faculty member. No essay will be required.

Applicants must live in Muskingum County and have maintained a minimum of a 2.0 to 2.5 grade point average while in high school.

Students must then maintain at least those same requirements during their collegiate career to remain eligible.

Those wishing to apply must do so by the August 17 deadline by visiting scholarshipcentral.org and then searching for the Marc Cooper Scholarship to apply.
